About the magic words… “Skotos” and “nekros” are Greek for “darkness” and “dead”, respectively. “Dozos mizos” is just a nonsense phrase I remembered from my childhood. I don’t know why I chose “FZZZZZT” as onomatopoeia for the unholy powers, but the title of the strip was a riff on the title of the Calvin and Hobbes book Scientific Progress Goes “Boink”. I LOVED Calvin and Hobbes back in the day. But who didn’t, am I right?
