I think this strip might have worked better if that "lightning" flash had been animated. I don’t know why the thought never occurred to me to animate my comics way back then. After all, I was publishing the comic in Flash anyway, and animation and interactivity is kind of the whole POINT of Flash… And my career at the time was designing and animating Flash games, so it’s not like I didn’t know how to do that sort of thing… Maybe I was just into exploring comics as a STATIC medium first…?

Don’t ask me why Orneryboy has the Necronomicon in his desk at work. I’m pretty sure even I didn’t know when I created this storyline. I think in later strips I sort of filled in some blanks, but at this particular point, the Necronomicon was just more of a MacGuffin.
