I’m not sure if it had been shown before this strip, but Orneryboy and Dirtygirl’s house has a detached garage, which is what Brian is locking the zombies in.

I remember at one point, when I was already a few years into the comic, I set out to draw a detailed floor plan of their house, because I wanted to make sure that it was consistent and actually made sense. I don’t know why I hadn’t done it right at the start, because I’ve always loved drawing maps, and designing layouts of houses (and dungeons)!

Anyway, I was VERY lucky in that most of what I’d already shown in the comic up to that point was consistent enough that I could wrangle a decent, cohesive, SANE floor plan out of it. Maybe one of these days I’ll post it somewhere. But I can’t yet, because it contains SECRETS…
