Basically the idea for this strip was, “Wouldn’t it be funny if Dirtygirl found Orneryboy in the ditch, all pale white and dead like E.T.?” Also I think the weird masochistic love/hate thing that I have for my avatar was really starting to set in by this point, so it felt good to “kill” Orneryboy, even if it WAS only for the space of one week. I think this may have been the most complex panel I had drawn up to this point. A lot of fucked up perspective going on. But I’m INTO that.
